I'm new to Fresno, in the process of moving into an apartment on the NW side of town.
I was hoping some of you cool people would give me some ideas of what I should do in my spare time. Where is the night life at? Are there any fetish clubs, biker bars, hippie hang outs, etc... Any good plays or shows?

Sun, March 11, 2007 - 3:50 PMMy best advise to you is the Tower District. If you do not know it, it is area of Olive and Wishon. That area seems to be the Cultural Mecca in a Vanilla/Conservative Valley. That is to say, the Tower is the Area with open minds and diverse views.
I would encourage you to check out some of the "linked" tribes to this one. Unfortuately, Tribe has not connected here as well as it has in the Bay Area. Truth be known there IS an "Alternative Mind" alive and well in the Valley. They are just well hidden. It just is not as big as in Hell A, or The Bay Area.
We NEED more people with open minds in the Area. Thank you for being one of those. Keep in touch and keep us posted. -

You know, I was riding my motorcycle on Clinton Ave a few nights ago when I saw a white ford ranger (looked like it was raised) that had a license plate that said ranger. I thought it looked like a burner mobile. Wasn't yours, was it? -

Yes, there are a few of us "enlightened" people even here in this cultural wasteland. Let's spread the world and bring the "community" of the Playa to the Valley. -
